Construction Technology is a branch of Civil Engineering. It involves the study of construction methods. Construction technologists design, plan, construct and manage infrastructures such as highways, bridges, airports, buildings, dams etc. Hence, the course will focus on different types of materials used for construction, along with testing procedures to assure quality control. Construction technology is a combination of civil engineering and construction management. .Skills required to become a successful construction engineer include a good understanding of math and science and critical and analytical thinking, time management, people management and good communication skills. Construction Technology curriculum is a mixture of Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Design, Construction Management, General Science, and Mathematics.
